They say it takes a million mistakes to learn a language. If that's true then we're about halfway there! We just finished language school this week and moved back to Tenwek. It's nice to finally be able to settle in our new home, but we will miss the friends we made after three months at Brakenhurst. Julius was one of the guards on the compound. He would draw pictures of animals and leave them on the porch for Eden. He also tried to teach Caleb how to jump like a maasai warrior. Caleb would try, with much enthusiasm, however his feet would't leave the ground and then he'd fall on his bum. Rose would help with laundry and cooking while we all had school. She really loved Caleb. He would always try to 'help' her in the house, usually making a bigger mess. Our last day of class with the language school staff and a couple of the students there. Mike and I are now trying to figure out a way to talk the school into moving next to Tenwek. We will miss them. While we are so excited for the next phase of life in Kenya, we are sorry that it takes us away from the friends we've already made.
