We joined together with other new WGM missionaries for a week of training in February. Regional directors flew in from around the globe to share wisdom and knowledge - allowing us to benefit from their experience. It was a great week.
At one point, we were told all of the new missionaries would be speaking to the administrative staff during their chapel. Eden piped up and said, "I'm a missionary so when do I speak?" So she chose a story and practiced it for the next day - even writing it out. When it came time, she was a little hesitant but then clearly and loudly spoke into the microphone to tell her "Spider Story".
One day in NY, Eden and Julie saw a HUGE spider in the house. They called me in to take care of it. I intended to say "We don't need to go to Kenya to see crazy critters in the house". But Eden interrupted after "We don't need to go to Kenya". She said "Yes we do. God told us to go - so we need to do it." Enough said!!
It was great to see our daughter engaged in the work we feel called to do and enjoying it herself. What a blessing to her parents.
